THE LOCATION

Waiwera is located 43 kms north of Auckland, and 5kms from the substantial seaside town of Orewa, at the mouth of the Waiwera River. Convenient access from Auckland to the south and Warkworth to the north is provided via the SH1 motorway and the Hibiscus Highway.

Across the river is Wenderholm Regional Park - Auckland’s first regional park, which attracts 350,000 visitors a year to its stunning beach adjacent to the Puhoi River.

Waiwera is part of the Mahurangi Coast ‘Hinterland’, a spectacular coastline running north to Waipu and containing many of the Auckland Regions most appealing beaches, rivers, wineries, and perhaps most significantly a series of coastal walks and bike trails. The Mahurangi Coastal Trail is a fantastic asset to the area and has proven extremely popular among people all over the Auckland region.
